David was born and raised in Easton, Pennsylvania. He joined the United States Marine Corps after High school and served four years active duty. Shortly after his return, he joined the Slatington Borough Police Department where he served as a Police Sergeant. During his tenure as a police sergeant, he was also assigned to the Lehigh County Emergency Response Team. He holds numerous instructor certificates and is a Medal of Valor recipient.
David has been involved in numerous traumatic events while in the police department that have led to his diagnosis with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. More notably, an on-duty shooting in the summer of 2020. That incident left him with a diagnosed TBI (traumatic brain injury).
Following his shooting, David became dependent on alcohol to suppress the trauma of the incident. David has self- advocated for his own treatment and path to wellness. It was through different types of treatments that David began to heal from his trauma. He has traveled to New York, Florida, and Missouri where he has engaged in programs for mental health recovery.

Danielle grew up on Long Island, NY. After high school she attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice with aspirations to be a police officer. She left college in her junior year to join the New York City Police Department. After graduating the academy, she returned to college and finished her degree in Criminal Justice. She also holds a master’s in public administration.
Danielle retired from the NYPD after twenty years of distinguished service as a second-grade detective. She has worked in numerous commands more recently the Force Investigation Division. The Force Investigation Division was created to investigate all aspects of police involved shootings.
Danielle’s assignment to this division was especially unique in the fact that she was the only member of the NYPD to have had a spouse involved in a police shooting that also investigated those types of cases.
It was with great trepidation that Danielle worked to get David the resources he needed to heal. Many times the quest for help was met with resistance. It wasn’t until David’s incident that she discovered resources are advertised, but not easily accessible. Her desire to pay forward the knowledge she learned then grew. Danielle wanted not only first responders to know there is help, but there is also help for those spouses and families living with a loved one who suffers from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).

Saint Michael’s Warriors is an opportunity to help give back to the community that has given up so much for everyone else. Caity looks forward to helping reshape the stigma around mental health and give our law enforcement the support they need.
